Discussion:
Xindi Council - New Actors?

Okay. I've been reading some of the postings on this site. Now, first
let me lay some groundwork. I am very intelligent, however when I want
to slow my mind down and take a mental vacation, I turn on shows like
Star Trek (Enterprise, TNG, etc.) This is not about picking on each
other just yet. I have made an observation while watching Enterprise
lately, and want to do a reality check on it.

This topic might be subject of previous discussions on this site, but I
don't have time to search through. Here's my observation: The scenes
with the Xindi Council (if terminology is wrong, just shut up and keep
reading) appear TO ME to contain actors from other Star Trek series. Is
there anyone else who noticed this? I'm not saying more until I figure
out if it's my imagination or not. Of course, I KNOW I'll hear from
someone, if only to sneer and growl. Go ahead. That's what you're there
for.

The members of the Xindi Council were indeed played by Trek veterans:

Tucker Smallwood (Xindi-Humanoid) was on VOY as Admiral Bullock ("In
the Flesh")

Scott MacDonald (Commander Dolum) was on:
DS9 "Captive Pursuit" - Tosk
DS9 "Hippocratic Oath" - Goran'Agar
VOY "Caretaker" - Rollins
TNG "Face of the Enemy" - Subcommander N'Vek

Randy Oglesby (Degra):
DS9 "The Darkness and the Light" - Silaran Prin
DS9 "Vortex" - Ah-Kel/Ro-Kel
ENT "Unexpected" - Trena'L
VOY "Counterpoint" - Kir
TNG "Loud as a Whisper" - Scholar/Artist

Rick Worthy (Janar):
VOY "Prototype" - a bunch of robots
VOY "Equinox" - Noah Lessing
ST:Insurrection - Elloran officer
DS9 "Soldiers of the Empire" - a Klingon whose name I can't remember
'cause it's so damn early in the morning

Hey, you asked. :)

Tucker Smallwood was also the Admiral/General on Space Above and Beyond a
show that was just getting good when Fox shut it down.

As for your being Intelligent please provide the written documented proof or
else, we'll be the judge of that.

Warmest regards

We don't use that rank any longer (after WWII) we have Rear Admiral lower
half (one star) Rear Admiral (upper half) no wonder I forgot it. Three
stars + Vice Admiral, four stars Admiral.

Absolutely agree re: Space Above and Beyond.

Tucker Smallwood also played "Sheriff Andy Taylor" in the infamous X-Files
episode, "Home".

Well not just the Xindi Counsel...a few I've seen so far obviously
Jeffrey Combs [a.k.a. Shran] was obviously well known from DS9 as
Weyoun.

There was Rene Auberjonois in "Oasis", obviously he was Odo in DS9.

There was Casey Biggs in "Damage", obviously he was Damar in DS9.

On a smaller scale Nicole Forester in "Horizon" played Nora, but did
have a part way back in 1993 as a Dabo Girl in DS9.

The other is the lead Xindi-Humanoid Council member. Tucker
Smallwood, he is one of my favorite well-traveled actors on one of my
favorite shows "SPACE: Above and Beyond" as the Commodore Glen Van
Ross. But he has done MANY other parts like "Admiral Bullock" in
VOY's "In the Flesh" (1995).

I would say they favor actors who have had DS9 experience.

He's also in a blues band with three other Trek actors - Vaughn
Armstrong (11 different Trek roles), Richard Herd (Admiral Paris from
Voyager) and Steve Rankin (a few parts on DS9 and TNG).
