It seemed a decent match to the old show though characters seemed to be explaining their situation rather often.
This I suppose was needed.

I wonder how many of these fan episodes are in the
ether of space ;-)

Perhaps these fans could establish another space
drama and do it for pay?

how about a space drama where
the inhabitants of a given planet are scared to death that all the
interplanetary visitors will step foot in their home and they will have no
food for them. Because as you know, all the restaurants on that planet will
be closed during the visits.
